Robert Westbury

Dr. Westbury received his undergraduate training at St. Francis Xavier University, his M. Ed. from the University of Oregon and his Ph.D. from Florida State University. In 2007, an Honorary Doctorate of Laws was conferred on him by the University of Alberta. His career includes being the Director of Curriculum for the Edmonton Separate School Board; the founding President of the SEEDS Foundation; and Vice President, Corporate Relations and Vice President Environmental and Public Affairs with TransAlta Utilities Corporation.

Currently, he is Chairman of the TELUS Edmonton Community Board. He is also the President of Context & Contacts Inc. Westbury is involved in numerous voluntary boards including the Edmonton Homeless Commission, Citadel Theatre, Edmonton Northlands and The Learning Partnership. He is Chairman Emeritus of the Alberta Order of Excellence and the Alberta Centre for Child and Family Research.
