Ida Goodreau, formerly President and Chief Executive Officer of Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), one of Canada’s largest public health organizations. VCH delivers $2.8 billion in acute, residential, and community health services to over 1.2 million people on British Columbia’s west coast. Under her leadership, VCH is shifting to a patient-centred approach and building an integrated continuum of health care services.

Ms. Goodreau has extensive experience in leading organizational change as Senior Vice President, Global Optimization at Norske Skog in Norway; President, Pulp Operations, Fletcher Challenge Canada in Vancouver; Managing Director at Tasman Pulp & Paper in New Zealand; Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Fletcher Canada in Vancouver; and Vice President, Human Resources at Union Gas in Ontario.

Ms. Goodreau is currently Chair of the Western Canadian Health CEO Forum, a member of the Richard Ivey Health Sector Advisory Council, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Occupational Health and Safety Agency for Health Care in BC, a member of the Board of Directors for The Vancouver Board of Trade, and a member of the Board of Directors for Terasen Inc. and Fortis BC. She is also a former member of the Board of Directors for Shell Canada, and has served on a number of other boards including the United Way, YMCA and the Edgewood Chemical Dependency Treatment Centre.
