Dan Gibbins
After serving as Communications Coordinator since 2006, Dan Gibbins moved into research as a Policy Analyst in 2009. Dan currently authors the monthly oil sands media monitor, as well as working on economic papers such as Currents with Jacques Marcil, the Survey of Western Economic Expectations with the Western Centre for Economic Research, and other policy issues ranging from water to clean energy.
Dan Gibbins received a BA in English with a focus in creative writing and a minor in drama from the University of Calgary. Since the summer of 2000, Dan has served as artistic director and head playwright of Scorpio Theatre. His plays have been acclaimed by critics and audience alike, and Dan is the winner of Most Outstanding Original Script at the 2002 Pumphouse One-Act Festival, and the Embridge Emerging Artist Award at the 2005 Random Acts festival.
