Lana Garcelon is from English River First Nation, Saskatchewan. She is employed with Canada West Foundation in Calgary, AB. Her role as a policy analyst is involved with the Successful Indigenous Resource Partnerships project. This position is in partnership with the United Nations Association in Canada’s GreenCorps programme.
Lana has experience working with her own First Nation’s economic development company as well as national and international experience with several Indigenous organizations.
Lana studied law in New Zealand for the past three years and graduated in December 2017 from the University of Waikato with a focus in Indigenous law and rights. Upon completion, she has returned to Canada and is eager to bring her knowledge and experience to advocate for Indigenous Canada.
Lana is also a competitive volleyball player, enjoys traveling, and spending time with her family and friends in Saskatchewan.
