Larissa Sommerfeld

Larissa Sommerfeld joined the Canada West Foundation in 2010 and is a Senior Policy Analyst. She is currently working on a project examining the importance of water to the western Canadian economy. Larissa has co-authored several reports, including Water Worries: Western Canadian Opinions Toward Paying More for Water, Charging for Water Use in Canada: A Workbook of the Central Principles, Key Questions, and Initial Steps and Wave of the Future: Water Policy in Western Canada.

Prior to assuming her position at the Canada West Foundation, Larissa worked as a Researcher and Analyst at Bow Valley College, and as a Research Assistant for the Canadian Academic of Health Sciences. She holds degrees in Political Science and International Relations, both from the University of Calgary.
