Saskatchewan’s Tax Future
SASKATOON – June 17-18, 2010. Jack Vicq, Saskatchewan Director for Canada West Foundation is available to answer questions about Saskatchewan Taxes. A survey is being conducted to determine how Saskatchewan’s tax system could be improved. The survey is available to all Saskatchewan residents at www.sasktaxsurvey.ca.
Vicq’s knowledge of tax systems and experience with provincial income tax reviews and reports have earned him the qualifications to lead this survey and provide clarity to Saskatchewan residents asking questions about their tax future.
Vicq is presently Professor Emeritus of Accounting at the College of Commerce, University of Saskatchewan. He is a retired professor of Accounting and former Associate Dean. He has been active in the governance of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. He headed the Provincial Income Tax Review Committee in 1999 and presented the Saskatchewan Personal Tax Review Committee Report to the Saskatchewan government. For the period of 2002-2005 he was the chairperson of the Provincial Court Commission. Most recently, he chaired the Business Tax Review Committee for the Province of Saskatchewan.
