MEDIA ADVISORY
CALGARY, AB – International trade expert Carlo Dade, Canada West Foundation Director of the Centre for Trade & Investment Policy, is available to comment on the signing of the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement.

The signing of the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade pact is a win for the West. Western services and commodity producers – including the beef, pork, barley and canola industries – stand to benefit substantially from better access to major markets such as Japan, and growing markets such as Malaysia and Vietnam in the new free trade zone. The agreement also means Canada will not be left on the outside looking in on the Pacific Rim free trade zone.
