CALGARY – The Canada West Foundation is pleased to announce that four individuals from the Board of Directors and staff have been awarded Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. Jim Dinning, Chair of the Board; Dr. Roger Gibbins, Senior Fellow; Shelia O’Brien, Senior Fellow; and Casey Vander Ploeg, Senior Economist are among 60,000 Canadians who have been presented the medal.

“The Diamond Jubilee Medal honours contributions and achievements by Canadians, and we are very proud to have individuals of this calibre associated with the Foundation,” Dylan Jones, President & CEO stated.

The Diamond Jubilee Medal was created to mark the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada and serves to honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians.
