Calgary Region as a Transportation Hub
On November 18, 2011, the Van Horne Institute and the Canada West Foundation hosted the Calgary Region as a Transportation Hub Conference.
Leaders from the transportation, supply chain, logistics, distribution,
air transportation, surface transportation, passenger transportation,
and warehousing industries discussed a vision of Calgary’s future
economy and developed a blueprint for the transportation infrastructure
and policy changes required to support that economic vision to ensure
that the Region maintains its competitive advantage as Western Canada’s
distribution hub.
Dr. Roger Gibbins, President & CEO presented on the future economic vision for the Calgary region.
