Western Canada's Gateway - Yesterday and Tomorrow

On November 24, 2011, the Canada West Foundation hosted Western Canada's Gateway: Yesterday & Tomorrow, which highlighted the ongoing revitalization of Manitoba’s positioning as a transportation centre and the opportunities this presents for the West and the country as a whole. The evening, which featured an engaging keynote by the Honourable Greg Selinger, included discussion of the importance of the northern regions of the province and the country and of Manitoba’s longstanding strength in agri-business. Panellists Diane Gray, Art Mauro and Jean-Marc Ruest commented on how the continental and global transportation context has changed and how Manitoba has been reinventing itself to adapt to these changes.
