Trade Patterns with India & China
This initiative examines the degree to which trade with China and India has contributed to the diversification of the western Canadian economy, discuss future trends and opportunities in terms of using trade with India and China to diversify the regional economy, and recommend policy alternatives for increasing regional economic diversification via trade with China and India. The research for this initiative resulted in a publication entitled, Through the Gateway: Unlocking Western Canada's Potential for Economic Diversification by Expanding Trade with Asia-Pacific, released February 22, 2011.
