Chris has spent more than three decades advancing public policy, economic growth, industry development and strategic infrastructure investment. A respected leader in Canada’s heavy construction and infrastructure sector, Chris is a lawyer by training and a former Winnipeg City Councillor (1983–1992). He has served on the Manitoba Employers’ Council, Manitoba Construction Sector Council, Manitoba Labour Board and the Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba. 

Since 1991, Chris has played a prominent role in developing federal advocacy through the Canadian Construction Association (CCA), serving on numerous committees and chairing several national task forces. He is widely recognized for helping shape Canada’s infrastructure policy agenda and contributing a leading role in landmark initiatives, such as CentrePort Canada and the Canada Trade Infrastructure Plan (CTIP).
