Dr. Roslyn Kunin, C.M.
Senior Fellow
Dr. Roslyn Kunin is a Senior Fellow at the Canada West Foundation and President of Roslyn Kunin and Associates Inc. an economic consultancy. Previously, she has been Executive Director of the Laurier Institution, a non-profit, non-partisan organization that studies the social and economic impact of cultural diversity in Canada. Dr. Kunin also worked in the private and public sectors, teaching at Canadian Universities, including Simon Fraser University and the University of British Columbia. She served for 20 years as the Federal Government’s Regional Economist in British Columbia and the Yukon. She was the founding chair of the Haida Enterprise Corporation.
Dr. Kunin is a past Director of the Business Development Bank of Canada and former member of the National Statistics Council. She has served the community in many positions including; the Chair of WorkSafe BC., Chair of the Vancouver Stock Exchange; Governor of the University of British Columbia; Chair of the Vancouver Crisis Centre; and Vice-President of the YWCA. She is a member of the Order of Canada. In 2017, she was appointed to the Order of British Columbia.
