Tom Carson
Senior Fellow

Tom Carson is a Senior Fellow at the Canada West Foundation. As President and principal consultant of T. Carson and Associates Ltd., he has over 31 years of senior management and executive experience with the Manitoba government, including 14 years serving as Deputy Minister to the Departments of Culture, Training, and Health. Tom is a consultant, specializing in personal and team development and workplace health and productivity. In addition to serving as Director of the Canada West Foundation’s Manitoba office, Tom sits on several Boards: he is chair of Manitoba Artists in HealthCare, past chair of the Arts and Cultural Industries Association of Manitoba, and the Finance Committee of the Winnipeg Art Gallery Foundation.

He also sits on the Boards of the University of Manitoba’s Health, Leisure and Human Performance Research Institute (HLHPRI), the Council for Early Child Development, the Advisory Council to the President of the University of Manitoba, The Provincial Healthy Child Advisory Committee and is an associate to the Manitoba Centre for Health Policy.
