A message from President and CEO Martha Hall Findlay
“We at the Canada West Foundation are shocked and deeply saddened by Jim Prentice’s untimely passing,” said Martha Hall Findlay, the Foundation’s CEO, who also worked with Mr. Prentice while both Members of Parliament in Ottawa.
“He was fiercely intelligent, passionate about doing good for his community, province and country, and was committed to public service. He was always both respectful of and respected by others, which is why he was so well liked across all party lines – a true gift in politics. He still had so much potential to contribute. He was taken far too young, and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and condolences go to his family and friends in this difficult time.”
