The November survey of 130 economists and financial analysts in the four western Canadian provinces was conducted by the Canada West Foundation and the Western Centre for Economic Research at the University of Alberta School of Business.

The results indicate that economists and financial analysts are optimistic that Canada can grow its reliance on renewable energy sources and are in favor of nuclear power generation, even if they believe that carbon-based fuels will be part of the nation’s energy mix beyond 30 years from today.
