Energy, Agriculture and the State of the Canada-Mexico Relationship: A conversation with Canada’s ambassador to Mexico

In-Person Event
Tuesday, March 21, 2023

Time: 11:00 to 12:00 pm (MT)
Location: 134, 110 – 11 Ave. SE, Calgary, Alberta

Join Canada’s ambassador to Mexico, Graeme C. Clark, as he provides insight into business and trade opportunities in the under-explored market of Mexico.

Often forgotten because of our focus on the U.S., Canada’s other partner in the new NAFTA, Mexico, represents significant opportunities beyond energy. The country is a top five trade partner for most of Western Canada with a GDP per capita higher than that of China. It’s also integrated into supply and production chains that fall under NAFTA and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership.

There are numerous challenges for western Canadian businesses in Mexico, from recent NAFTA trade and labour challenges to the stability of investment and political climates. In this market, getting insights from someone on the ground is essential to success.

Note this event is in person only and held under Chatham House Rule.
Seating is limited – register soon to secure a spot!
